Hi,
It's been a while since I've written in my blog. Started a new business and everything...but everything I do includes raw foods and a journey to creating greater health.
I've continued to add raw foods into my diet and have mastered using a juicer, Vitamix and dehydrator in the last year. I've created 1000s of green smoothies and shared many of them with others. :) My favorite is a simple blend of filtered water, banana and greens (collard or kale.) Often I add bee pollen or some other super food. Try www.radicalhealth.com for David Favor's superb information on "raw super foods." I think they're great.
But lately, I've been juicing almost every day; sometimes more then once per day! I loooovvveee juicing! When I drink the juice, my cells do a happy dance. They feel like they are bursting with energy when I drink the juice. My favorite these days is collard greens and pear. I don't follow recipes, I follow my taste buds. I juice one or two pears and then I add the collard greens, a few at a time. When it taste REALLY green with a bit of sweet, it's done! (some of you may want it more sweet, so use less greens and more fruit....either way....YUM!)
My dream is to do what is called a "juice feast" -- it feels like a reinventing of myself on more then one level (physical, emotional, spiritual.) This is not a fast...it's a FEAST on juice (but only juice.....about a gallon a day.)
I was about to start yesterday but realized that I am off to a week of work and vacation in New York City so it makes more sense to dive into the juiciness when I return on July 6. But I 'will' spend these weeks preparing in some way/shape/form. I will continue juicing as much as possible. I will begin meditating more regularly. I will drink plenty of filtered water every day. I will continue with a diet that is 50% raw or more.
I invite you to join me! And if you choose to join me, please email me and let me know (FlirtingExpert@gmail.com)
For more information on juice feasting, go to www.JuiceFeasting.com. There's plenty of information. And my plan is to blog every day while I am juice feasting and keep you updated on my progress....on my successes and on my challenges.
In the meantime, I wish you good health!
Warmly, Robyn
